Diplomatic history of World War II
The Diplomatic history of World War II includes the major foreign policies and interactions inside the opposing coalitions, the Allies and the Axis powers. The military history of the war is covered at World War II.
==The Failed Attempt to Cancel the War==

In the Spring of 1938, Nazi Germany had invaded and annexed Austria. Thinking that giving Hitler what he wanted would make him go away, a conference was held in Munich which gave him a large piece of Czechoslovakia. The main participants were Prime Ministers Chamberlain of the UK, Daladier of France, Mussolini of Italy, and Chancellor Hitler. Unfortunately, it didn't work very well, and the Germans invaded the Rest of what was to eventually be called Czech Republic in March 1939, and began preparations for an invasion of Poland that summer.
